First off, here is the FINISHED Product of the gift I had posted about earlier. It’s a little hard to see, but I’ve added a “wood grain” effect on the border. Feel free to post and tell me what you think!
Next, my favorite piece of all time has sold!
This piece was the first woodburning I had ever done and what solidified my love of woodburning. It was sad to see it go, but it has a fantastic new home now!
Starting tomorrow, I have absolutely no class and no work because I will be in the lovely state of California, on my summer break, focusing on nothing but art! So you will be seeing posts on new pieces and most likely new items in my shop! I’ve marked down a ton of items so please take a look!
Keep in mind, I also love doing custom pieces, so if you’re looking for a gift for someone, or even a gift for yourself, now is the time to let me know 🙂
This is EXACTLY how I feel. There is so much food to be eaten today and I swear I’m still half asleep. Last night the gang and I went out to a friends and then the bars. The bars were surprisingly bearable. Last year, we waited in line for 45 minutes in the freezing cold to get inside. Once inside, you couldn’t move and getting beer was impossible. I was extremely hesitant to go out this year, but I don’t regret it. I was the designated driver, and you know what, it was a blast. I know going out and drinking is fun and all but I feel like the next day I only remember half, I’m tired and lazy. As the driver, I just feel tired and suddenly have a plethora of memorable moments. Oh, but by tired… I mean exhausted. The boyfriend and I didn’t get home until about 3:30 and I had to come home to help my parents out at 8 am. I can collapse any moment.
I want to tell you all that I’ll pull through it and I’ll be able to nap and enjoy myself all day long but I can’t do that. Noon is Thanksgiving lunch with my parents, 2Pm is Thanksgiving late lunch with my boyfriends grandparents, after that I get a good nap only to be at work at 11 PM because working retail is awesome. I will not be off until 4AM. All I can say is, I’ll have a full belly and a crapload of Redbull.
So on that note, I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving! Unbutton those pants and let the feast settle in your bottomless pit. I know I will.
